Having won their first two games of the 2010 tournament, Kernersville locked up a position in the finals and waited as the league's other six teams were whittled down to one.
Emerging from the Loser Bracket, Catawba Valley presented itself as a formidable foe for Kernersville. Catawba Valley handed Kernersville two of their five losses during the regular season. But on this day the Bulldogs proved to be too much for the Catawba Valley Stars. Getting equally good production from the pitching staff, the defense and at the plate, Kernersville bested the Stars 6-2.
