Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League
The Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League is considering expansion for the 2008 summer season. League Official, Dale Ijames in a recently published news release, stated that the CVCL is considering the possibilities of expanding to as many as twelve teams by next year. "The popularity of the league has grown significantly over the past couple of years. The level of talent and competitiveness continues to grow at an astounding rate."

The CVCL currently has teams in central North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia and, according to Ijames, has received commitments for teams from South Carolina and eastern North Carolina. "We also have interest in northeast Georgia", he added.
The CVCL is quickly becoming one of the premier wood bat leagues in the country as evidenced by the number of league players being drafted by professional teams each year.

Existing or potential wood bat teams interested in obtaining more information about the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League are urged to contact Dale Ijames at (336) 784-9122 or submit the Team Interest form.
